Williamsport Crosscutters News Release
The Crosscutters beat the Jamestown Jammers 10-5 Friday night as the Cutters stay 3 games behind Staten Island for the lead in the McNamara Division. OF Brad Corley put the game away for Williamsport with a grand slam in the 8th inning. Corley ended the game by going 2 for 5 with a double, grand slam, and 4 RBI. LF Joe Hicks went 2 for 3 with 1 RBI as he extended his hitting streak to 3 games. Despite getting a no decision, starter Luis Munoz (6-2) pitched a gem, as he went 6.0 innings, giving up 2 hits, 1 run, and striking out 5. The Crosscutters now go on to face McNamara Division rival Brooklyn in a 3 game series beginning Saturday night at Bowman Field.
