St. Louis Cardinals RHP Matt Morris has recorded a 12-4 record, with his most recent decision coming in a 4-run, 7-inning performance win vs. Florida on August 3rd. Morris has pitched in 135.2 innings this season and has 90 Ks against 24 walks. Morris will be going for his 100th career victory Sunday against the Cubs. OF Covelli CoCoCrisp, currently with the Cleveland Indians, is hitting .293 (118-403) through 98 games with 27 doubles, 3 triples, 9 HRs and 58 runs scored. 2B Adam Kennedy with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, is hitting .325 (89-274) with 15 doubles, 2 HR and 31 RBIs and 11 stolen bases in 85 games. Oakland As RHP Dan Haren is 10-7 with an ERA of 4.08 in 24 starts for Oakland. Haren has thrown 152.1 innings and has given up 80 runs (69 earned) on 151 hits. He has 116strikeouts and only 41 walks. Haren has not lost since May 26th @ Tampa Bay and has won 9 straight.
BIRDS OF A FEATHER (Memphis Redbirds Class AAA Pacific Coast League OF John Gall is hitting .273 (79-289) with 19 doubles, 10 HRs and 50 RBIs. SS John Nelson is hitting .257 (93-362) with 25 doubles, 13 HRs and 47 RBIs. RHP Jeremy Cummings is 3-0 on the season with an ERA of 3.27 in 8 games. He has 18 Ks against 8 walks.
OZARK MEN (Springfield Cardinals Class AA Texas League)
IB/C Gabe Johnson is hitting .306 (30-98) with 4doubles, 4 HRs and 20 RBIs in 27 games. 3B Travis Hanson is hitting .272 (125-459) with 22 doubles, 19 HRs and 83 RBIs in 113 games. RHP Josh Kinney is 4-2 with an ERA of 1.71 in 23 games with 10 saves. Kinney has thrown 31.2 innings with 31 Ks.
AT THE BEACH (Palm Beach Cardinals Class A Florida State League)
OF Joe Mather is hitting .280(37-132) with 9 doubles, 6 HRs and 20 RBIs in 38 games. RHP Dennis Dove is 1-2 on the season with a 2.79 ERA, in 5 starts he has 11 Ks in 29 IP.
SWEET MUSIC (Swing of the Quad Cities Class A Midwest League)
INF Chris Patrick is hitting .313 (57-182) with 15 doubles, 5 HRs and 36 RBIs in 58 games. RHP Cory Meacham is 1-0 with an ERA of 1.62 in 10 appearances. He has thrown 16.2 innings and has struck out 9.
