Williamsport Crosscutters News Release
Highlights- The Williamsport bullpen failed hold the lead in a 4-3 loss in Batavia on Sunday afternoon.
Cutters starter Jacob Diekman was spectacular in his 7 innings of work, allowing no runs and just three MuckDog hits. Diekman gave way to Williamsport reliever Jesse Oster who allowed four runs in the 8th inning. The big blow a 3-run homer by Batavia's Xavier Scruggs.
OF Steve Susdorf drove in two Cutters runs as Williamsport lost for the second time in a row to the 1st place MuckDogs.
Williamsport now sits 7 ½ games behind Batavia in the NY-P's Pinckney Division. The final game of the 3-game series will take place Monday night in Batavia. The game can be heard on ESPN Radio Williamsport (104.1FM & 1050AM).
