
Croff, Poe Take Top Spots in 8th Annual Run, Forrest Run 5K

CHARLESTON, SC - Chris Croff and Rives Poe took home top male and female honors at Saturday's 8th Annual Run, Forrest Run 5K that was held at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park.
Goff finished the race with a time of 17:29.7 to pace the men while Poe completed the course at 18:04.9. Also highlighting the event were Brian Malak (20:40.4), who was named the Top Masters Male and Lucinda Hughes (22:49.8), who earned the accolade for females.
A record 670 runners participated in the event where finishers were greeted at home plate by the RiverDogs players and coaches.
The event was sponsored by Bubba Gump Shrimp Company, T-Mobile and Pain Specialists of Charleston. Proceeds benefit the MUSC Storm Eye Institute.
