HICKORY, NC - The third week of the 2013 season saw the Hickory Crawdads go an even 3-3 to overtake sole possession of first place in the SAL North Division.

The 'Dads took two of three in Greensboro to win their series against the Grasshoppers while also taking the first game in Hagerstown against the Suns. The Crawdads would drop the next two contests before having their final game rained out.

Player and Team Notes

-The Crawdads are 10-3 over their last two weeks of play, the best record in the SAL.

- Hickory's 39 HR are the most in all of Minor League Baseball. The second place team in the SAL only has 24.

- The 'Dads rank second in the SAL with a .441 team slugging percentage and 349 total bases

- The Crawdads 123 runs scored are fourth in the SAL

- Hickory's pitching staff ranks fourth in the league with 203 Ks

- INF Joey Gallo (8) and OF Nick Williams (7) rank first and second in the league in HR.

- RHP CJ Edwards has the third most strikeouts in the SAL with 29

Wednesday vs. Asheville - 6 p.m.

- Unemployment Night - The Crawdads kick off a promotions packed week of games with free tickets! Show your NCESC issued debit card or printed online statement and receive up to four complimentary tickets to the 'Dads game against the Asheville Tourists!

Thursday vs. Asheville - 7 p.m.

- Thirsty Thursday - $1 12 oz beers and Pepsi Products!

- College Night - Show your support for your favorite college or university by wearing their apparel, and receive great ticket discounts at the gate!

- Teacher Appreciation Night - To thank the local educators for all their hard work and dedication, the Crawdads will be honoring teachers, principals, and other school faculty members at the game against the Asheville Tourists.

Friday vs. Asheville - 7 p.m.

-Bark at the Park - A special night to bring your K-9 companions to LP Frans to enjoy the game!

-Most Improved Student - Most Improved Student winners will be honored before the game!

- Battle of the PTOs - Local PTOs will participate in a fundraiser for their schools. The school with the most participation will win an additional $200!

Saturday vs. Savannha - 6 p.m.

- Replica Jersey Giveaway - The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a replica Crawdads jersey courtesy of Pepsi!

- Conrad's Birthday Bash - Everyone's favorite mascot is turning 21! Come out to L.P. Frans to help Conrad celebrate his special birthday!

- Home Run Trot 5K Race - Take a run on the Crawdads' course near L.P. Frans Stadium on Saturday morning. The race starts at 8:00am!

- Post-Game Player Autographs

- North Carolina Education Lottery Night - The first 100 fans 18 and older will receive a FREE $1.00 scratch off ticket! Also, stop by the North Carolina Education Lottery booth and learn about the newest instant and online games that the NCEL has to offer.

Sunday vs. Savannah - 5 p.m.

- Faith and Family Day - Waterlife Church invites you to attend a pre-game service they will be leading at L.P. Frans Stadium from 3:30p-4:15p.

Monday vs. Savannah - 6 p.m.
