Hickory Crawdads News Release
HICKORY, NC - The Hickory Crawdads wrapped up the 1st Half of the South Atlantic League season last week with a 4-4 record, finishing just a half game behind the Hagerstown Suns for first place in the Northern Division.
The 54th SAL All-Star game was also last week, with the Crawdads sending a league-high six players to the event. Aside from the 2-1 Northern Division win, 'Dads 3B Joey Gallo also won the Home Run Derby.
The 'Dads will kick off the 2nd half with five returning All-Stars and a record setting offense that still leads all of Minor League and Major League Baseball with 106 home runs.

Player and Team Notes
- The Crawdads still lead all of Minor League Baseball and now Major League Baseball with 106 home runs on the season.
- The Crawdads also lead the South Atlantic League in Slugging Percentage (.452), Total Bases (1,047) and RBI (336) while ranking second in the league in Runs Scored (365).
- INFs Ryan Rua and Joey Gallo currently lead the league in home runs with 22, while teammate Lewis Brinson (13) sits in 5th place.

Crawdads closer Alexander Claudio was named the Texas Rangers Minor League Pitcher of the Month for May while 3B Joey Gallo took home the South Atlantic League Hitter of the Week for the week ending June 16th!
