Coyotes Reduce Training Camp Roster, Assign Four to Tucson

TUCSON, ARIZONA - Arizona Coyotes President of Hockey Operations and General Manager John Chayka announced today that the Coyotes have assigned the following four players to the Tucson Roadrunners, the club's American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate.

FORWARDS:

Brayden Burke

A fantastic rookie season saw the former Western Hockey League star pace all Tucson rookies with 13 goals and 33 points.

Nick Merkley

After missing the start of the season due to an injury, Merkley found his stride in his second year of pro hockey, which included his first hat trick on March 29 against Colorado.

Tyler Steenbergen

The winger enters Tucson camp after registering nine goals and 13 assists for 22 points during 63 games with the club in 2018-19.

GOALTENDER:

Ivan Prosvetov

At just 20 years of age, the native of Moscow, Russia played in 53 games with Saginaw (OHL) last season, posting a .910 save percentage (SV%) and a 2.94 goals against average (GAA).

The Roadrunners will open their fourth season of play in Southern Arizona on Friday, October 18 when the team hosts the San Antonio Rampage, AHL affiliate of the Stanley Cup Champion St. Louis Blues at Tucson Arena. Puck drop is set for 7:05 p.m. and ticket packages including the opening night are on sale now.
