GLENDALE, ARIZONA -- Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that center Joel Perrault has cleared re-entry waivers and has been recalled by the Coyotes from their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the San Antonio Rampage.

Perrault, 26, has recorded 11-12-23 and 24 penalty minutes (PIM) in 27 games for San Antonio this season. Last year, he collected 2-1-3 in seven games with the Coyotes and 18-31-49 in 46 games with the Rampage to finish 3rd on the team in scoring.

In 2007-08, Perrault finished with 7-10-17 and 48 PIM in 49 games for the Coyotes, setting career-highs in games played, goals, assists, points, penalty minutes, power play goals (3) and game-winning goals (2). Prior to his stint with the Coyotes that season, Perrault recorded 14-13-27 and 36 PIM in 28 games with San Antonio and was named to the 2008 AHL All-Star Game but was unable to play due to his recall.

Perrault, who has recorded 11-14-25 and 68 PIM in 87 career NHL games with Phoenix and St. Louis, was originally drafted by Anaheim in the 5th round (137th overall) of the 2001 Entry Draft.
