Cox Sports Television's Paul Crane on Pelicans Coaches Show

The Pensacola Pelicans announced today veteran sports broadcaster, Paul Crane, will be the featured guest on the Pelicans Coaches Show on Saturday, July 22. The weekly show airs LIVE from New York Nick's in downtown Pensacola from noon to 1 p.m. on AM 1620.

Crane, along with broadcast partner Nick Belmonte, will be covering Pensacola's first-ever televised baseball game when the Pelicans play the Fort Worth Cats on Friday, July 28 at 6:35 p.m. at Pelican Park.

COX Sports Television (CST) will carry three Pelicans games this season: July 28, August 4, and August 25.

The Connecticut native has worked for CNN, CNN/SI, FSN South, and CST. He also spent 10 years as a sports anchor and reporter in Dallas where he covered the NFL Dallas Cowboys, NBA Dallas Mavericks, MLB Texas Rangers, the Cotton Bowl, and PGA TOUR stops.

With CNN and CNN/SI, Crane covered college football and basketball and hosted the weekly College Coaches Corner - the program on which the weekly CNN/USA Today college football coaches poll was announced.

Crane has been with FSN South since 2002, where he serves as the key college football reporter for the live, nightly regional sports news program Around the South. He also does play-by-play for select college football and basketball games.

This will be Crane's second season doing play-by-play announcing for CST's minor league baseball package as well as co-hosting the weekly show CST TONIGHT!

Hosts Paul Chesnutt and Jason Libbert will also be joined by Pelicans Manager Kash Beauchamp to discuss his team's first games back since the All-Star break. The Pels are in Texas playing the division-leading Coastal Bend Aviators for three games before returning to Pelican Park on Monday, July 24.
