COVID-19 Concerns Force Cancellation of Entire OHL Season Including Playoffs

March 23, 2020 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Ottawa 67's News Release

OTTAWA - An Ottawa 67's season for the ages officially came to an end today as the Ontario Hockey League announced the cancellation of the rest of the 2019-2020 campaign, including the playoffs.

The 67's are aligned with the league in its efforts to protect fans, players and staff while doing our part to stop the spread of COVID-19. This latest development comes after all CHL leagues suspended the remainder of the regular season last week.

"This was a decision everyone hoped wouldn't have to be made," said Ottawa Sports and Entertainment Group CEO, Mark Goudie. "The CHL's priority, and ours, is to protect the health and safety of everyone involved in the hockey family, as heartbreaking as it is for our players and coaches and fans. We have an amazing team of staff and players along with the best fans in the OHL and we truly appreciate your support as we navigate these times together.

Fans with tickets to remaining home games, including season seat holders and single-game ticket holders, will have their accounts credited for the full value of their purchase. Account credits can be applied to future Ottawa 67's home regular season games. All customers will receive a direct communication from the hockey club with their specific options and details. For other ticket-related inquires, please contact boxoffice@tdplace.ca.
