B.C. Lions News Release
(Vancouver) The BC Lions take to the national stage on Thursday night as they play host to the Edmonton Eskimos presented by Nissan and highlighted by a halftime performance by country music recording star Tim Hicks.
Kids tickets presented by London Drugs start at just $10 per game all season and seats in the popular general admission Beach Party Zone are only $25.
Last home game, the BC Lions 50/50 draw presented by Belairdirect topped-out with a jackpot of more than $90,000 and now fans across British Columbia can get in on the winning each home game with 50/50 ticket purchasing available on-line and province-wide - click here for more info.
Before the players hit the field inside BC Place, there's no better way to get ready for the game than to take in all the festivities outside the stadium including the expanded and relocated Kid Zone at Gate F. In keeping with Thursday's Western Night theme, fans can test their rodeo skills by take a spin on a mechanical bull at the Tailgate Party. Click here for a rundown of all the pregame fun.
Game Preview
After a rocky start to 2019, DeVone Claybrooks celebrated his first win as Lions' head coach over the weekend as the Leos (1-3) hit the win column in Toronto and now look to climb back in the race in the West Division. The Eskimos (2-1) come into Thursday's game off an early bye week and are likely a bit prickly after dropping their previous game in Winnipeg.
The two clubs met in Week 2 with Edmonton coming out on top by a 39-23 final score in a game that BC led by as many as 14 points. While their record has placed them in a tough spot early on, the Lions have either led or been tied at halftime in each of their first four games this season, so look for quarterback Mike Reilly to hit the gas early and often against his old squad.
It's the Lions and Eskimos in a western showdown and Tim Hicks providing plenty of good vibes with summer in full swing.
