Montreal Alouettes News Release
Montreal - The Montreal Alouettes announced on Tuesday that Luc Brodeur-Jourdain is joining the Alouettes coaching staff today as an assistant coach of the offensive line. Freshly retired from his playing career, he will support Paul Dunn who is in his second year as an offensive line coach.
The former Montreal Alouettes offensive lineman, who played his last game Thursday in a spectacular win against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, will be taking his first steps as a coach. Brodeur-Jourdain played 11 seasons with Montreal and won two Grey Cup in 2009 and 2010.
Alouettes Head Coach Khari Jones was delighted with Brodeur-Jourdain's appointment.
"We are extremely pleased to know that Luc will remain in the organization," said Jones. "He is respected by everyone on the team and his leadership skills will make him an excellent asset to our coaching staff."
The 36-year-old Saint-Hyacinthe, QC native, intends to communicate his desire to win by teaching his own work ethic to the team's young offensive line.
"I have always had a desire to teach and coach others. The will to share my knowledge was with me even when I was a student. Through my journey, I have learned that the best way to ensure that you understand a concept is to explain it," declared Brodeur-Jourdain, who will coach his first game with the Alouettes staff on Saturday, July 13, against the REDBLACKS in Ottawa.
