Countdown to Face-Off

Making their final regular season visit to the Huntington Center, the Kalamazoo Wings will battle the Toledo Walleye during the State Line Face-Off Series, Presented by AmeriGas, America's Propane Company. On the season, the K-Wings are 8-2-1-1 against the Walleye.

After concluding seven-games in nine days last Sunday, the K-Wings will prepare for the first of two games this week. Kalamazoo starts the week in first place in the North Division, the K-Wings lead the second place Wheeling Nailers by five points.

Ending a four game-winless streak last night, the Walleye are in fourth place in the North Division, 10 points behind the K-K-Wings. Currently in 10th place in the Eastern Conference with 56 points, Toledo is three points behind the Cincinnati Cyclones and the Gwinnett Gladiators for 8th place in the conference.

Tonight the K-Wings will play the Toledo Walleye in the Walleye's "Pink in the Rink" pink ice game. On the season, Kalamazoo is 3-0-0-0 in colored ice games and are 8-3-0-0 all-time in pink ice games, including eight straight victories.

Seventh Heaven

Named the ECHL's Plus Performer of the Month and Player of the month for February earlier this week, forward Trent Daavettila enters the week on a seven-game point streak. Daavettila, who holds the K-Wings' season-high for consecutive games with a point with 12, has notched 14 points (2 goals, 12 assists) over the course of his current streak.

Nearing Milestones

Forward Aaron Clarke is closing in on a personal milestone. Clarke needs one more assist to reach 100 in his career.

Nearing a Dozen

Kalamazoo enters the week unbeaten in regulation in 11 straight (9-0-0-2) games. The 11-game streak is the longest unbeaten streak by the K-Wings this season and the longest current unbeaten streak in the ECHL.
