Hartlieb Returns as Part of Three Moves by Blades
March 4, 2011 - ECHL (ECHL)
Florida Everblades News Release
ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades President and General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Greg Poss announced today that Ernie Hartlieb has agreed to terms with the club and will be in uniform when Florida hosts the South Carolina Stingrays this weekend.
Hartlieb returns to the Blades for the third time this season. The 31-year-old has skated in four games for the Everblades this season. At the conclusion of last season the Warren, Michigan native hung up his skates after 10 years of professional hockey, the final six of which were primarily with the Everblades.
Hartlieb returns as the Everblades all-time leader in games played with 345 and ranks among the top in all-time Everblades history in points (257 - 3rd), assists (171 - 3rd) goals (86 - 5th) and power play goals (33 - T-1st).
This move was one of three by the Everblades today as the team also announced that forward Cedric McNicoll and goaltender Bobby Goepfert have been activated off the injured reserve list. McNicoll, who has been out of the lineup since suffering an injury on January 22, returns to the lineup with 19 points (7g, 12a) in 24 games.
For Goepfert it marks the first time the 27-year-old will be back in the lineup since going on the IR in early February. Goepfert returns to action tonight with a 19-11-3 record and a 2.80 goals against average in 35 games this season.
The Everblades return to action tonight when they host the South Carolina Stingrays at 7:30 p.m. from Germain Arena. Visit www.floridaeverblades.com and www.germainarena.com for more information on ticket packages, pricing and upcoming Germain Arena events.
