Kalamazoo Wings News Release

For the second-time this weekend, the Kalamazoo Wings will battle the Muskegon Lumberjacks. Kalamazoo defeated Muskegon 4-3 on Friday at Wings Stadium. Including tonight, the two intra-state rivals will collide five more times, twice at Wings Stadium and three times at L.C. Walker Arena.

Losing last night at home to the Fort Wayne Komets, Kalamazoo has dropped to fourth place. With the Komets idle, the K-Wings can move back into a third place with a victory this afternoon. After today, Kalamazoo will return back to Wings Stadium to commence a three-game home stand.

After losing to the K-Wings on Friday, the Lumberjacks rebounded with a 4-3 win on the road last night against Flint. The victory keeps the ‘Jacks two points behind the Port Huron Icehawks for first. With the Icehawks having the day off, a Lumberjacks win would put Muskegon in a tie for the top spot in the IHL.
