Countdown to Face-Off

While most people celebrate Thanksgiving their with extended families, the Kalamazoo Wings will spend the holiday with their IHL family, as they travel to the U.S. Cellular Coliseum to battle the Bloomington PrairieThunder.

Commencing a five-game road swing tonight, the K-Wings are looking to extend an IHL-season high six-game winning streak. On the season, the K-Wings are 3-4-0-0 away from Wings Stadium; however, Kalamazoo has skated away with two straight road victories.

After finishing an abbreviated two-game road swing losing both contests by a combined scored of 14-5, including a 5-0 loss to Kalamazoo, Bloomington returns home where they have a record of 4-4-0-0 and have scored 30 of their season total 47 goals.

Road Trip Winners of two straight away from Wings Stadium, the Kalamazoo Wings will have plenty of chances to improve their road record. Starting tonight, the K-Wings will commence a five-game road swing that will keep them away from Wings Stadium until December 12th.

Clean Sweep

On Monday, the Kalamazoo Wings swept the IHL weekly awards. Mark Nebus was honored as the Pepsi Player of the Week, Jason Tapp skated off with his second-straight Southern Sports Supply Goaltender of the Week and Tommy Lange captured the Aquafina Rookie of the Week.

Historic Performance

With his five-goal performance last Sunday, Mark Nebus tied the franchise record for most goals scored in a regular season game. Nebus now shares the record with Tom Ross (11/21/79) and Jim McRae (11/16/83).

The K-Wings start the week on six-game winning streak. Kalamazoo has outscored their opponents 31-9 during their season-high winning streak.
