FLINT, MI - The Flint Generals, proud members of the IHL and Double A Affiliate the Stanley Cup Champion Detroit Red Wings announced today a new program to reward children for success at school.

The 'Blades for Grades Program' allows students who have excellent report cards to receive a coupon to attend a future Flint Generals home game with the purchase of an adult ticket. As part of this promotion Generals' players will be out delivering tickets to 17 schools across Genesee County. More tickets will be delivered to other schools in the coming weeks.

"This is a terrific way to get children excited about making good grades in school and reward them by attending a future Generals' game," said Head Coach Bobby Reynolds.

Hockey is back at Perani Arena and Event Center this Friday when the Flint Generals entertain the Kalamazoo Wings at 7:30 pm. It's the Generals Prom King and Queen Contest.
