
Registration open for \'SK8 with Skalde' clinics

Bloomington PrairieThunder coach Jarrod Skalde has opened registration for his 'SK8 with Skalde' youth ice hockey clinics Dec. 22-24 at U.S. Cellular Coliseum in Bloomington.
Participants will be instructed by Skalde and other members of the PrairieThunder hockey team in one-hour sessions each of the three days. The focus of the sessions will be on fundamentals and techniques regarding shooting, passing and skating to improve young player's skills. Goaltending also will be addressed in each session.
Cost is $75 and includes ice time, SK8 with Skalde t-shirt, refreshments and voucher for a ticket to a future PrairieThunder game. Two or more members of the same family will receive a discounted price of $60 per registration after the initial registration fee of $75.
The sessions will be broken into three age groups: mites (8 and younger) from 8 a.m. until 9 a.m.; squirts (ages 9 through 12) from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.; bantams (ages 13 through 18) from 11 a.m. to noon.
Sessions are limited to the first 30 paid registration forms received. Registration forms are available at the Pepsi Ice Center. The forms should be turned in with full payment by cash or check (made payable to Jarrod Skalde; no credit cards will be accepted) to Bryan Bloodworth at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum administrative offices on the second floor of the Coliseum.
