Kalamazoo Wings News Release

For the second time ever, the Kalamazoo Wings will face-off against the Bloomington PrairieThunder. The K-Wings won the inaugural meeting 3-0 on November 19th in Kalamazoo. After tonight, the two teams will battle four times, including two more meetings at Wings Stadium.

Kalamazoo returns home for the first-time in 12 days after winning road contests in both Chicago and Muskegon. Forward Jesse Rycroft will be making his K-Wings debut. Rycoft was traded to Kalamazoo from Quad City last Monday.

Bloomington comes to Wings Stadium looking to snap a five-game road losing streak. To reach that goal, the PrairieThunder will need to find ways to register on the scoreboard. Bloomington has scored just eight goals in their last seven games.

Seeing Red

In keeping with league tradition, UHL clubs will wear their road uniforms during home games in the month of December. On the season, the K-Wings are 6-3-0 when wearing their road (red) jerseys.

Streaking Snider

Forward Shawn Snider has racked up at least one point in each of his last five games. The five-game streak is one game shy of tying the K-Wings' season high six-game scoring streak, held by Snider, Justin Cross and Kory Karlander.

Kaptain K-Wing Leading by Example

Captain Nick Bootland has been leading by example scoring three goals in his last two games. The two game goal streak, which ties Bootland for the longest current streak in the league, is two games shy of tying the K-Wings' season high of four games also held by Bootland.
