IHL 2 Kalamazoo Wings

Countdown to Face-Off

December 30, 2005 - International Hockey League 2 (IHL 2)
Kalamazoo Wings News Release

While they're only two hours apart from one another, tonight will only be the second meeting of the season between the Kalamazoo Wings and the Fort Wayne Komets. The K-Wings won the inaugural meeting of the season 4-1 back on October 29th at Wings Stadium.

The K-Wings come into the game looking to extend their three-game winning streak, as well as stay on top of both the UHL and Central Division. Kalamazoo starts the night tied with Muskegon in both the league and the division. Besides the winnings streak, the K-Wings are unbeaten in regulation in their last five games.

Like the K-Wings, the Komets come into Wings Stadium having found recent success. Fort Wayne is 8-2-0 in their last ten games. The Komets, who are currently in third place in the Western Division, are just three points behind Quad City for second and 13 points behind Rockford for first.
