Kalamazoo Wings News Release
For the second straight night the K-Wings could be getting a preview of the playoffs, as they travel to Moline, Illinois to play the Quad City Mallards. The K-Wings enter The Mark tied for second in the UHL with the Adirondack Frostbite, while the Mallards are eighth overall in the UHL and just two points behind the Missouri River Otters for seventh.
Kalamazoo comes into this game doing something they have been doing all year, chasing history. A K-Wings victory tonight would tie the UHL record of 11 straight road victories, held by the Mallards and the B.C. Icemen, who both accomplish the feat during the 1999-00 season.
Quad City is peaking at the right time. The Mallards are flying high into tonight's game, as Quad City is 7-3-0 in their last 10 games, which includes a 5-3 victory at Wings Stadium over Kalamazoo. The victory over the K-Wings in their last meeting could give the Mallards some confidence, as Quad City is the last team to defeat Kalamazoo in regulation.

The ten-game road winning streak is the longest current streak in the UHL and a K-Wings UHL franchise record. A K-Wings victory tonight would tie the UHL record for consecutive road wins is 11-games, held by the 1999-00 Quad City Mallards and B.C. Icemen.
Nearing a Milestone
Defenseman Daniel Carriere enters tonight's game nearing a personal milestone. Carriere needs just two more points to reach 100 for his career.
On a Roll
Forwards Andrew Luciuk and Kevin Kotyluk enter tonight's game on lengthy point streaks. Luciuk is on a six-game point streak, while Kotyluk has registered a point in his last five games. The six-game streak by Luciuk is the longest current streak by a K-Wings player and one game shy of tying Yannick Carpentier's K-Wings' season high. In his last six games, the veteran forward has recorded an astonishing 14 points. Earlier this week, Luciuk was named the UHL Sher-Wood Player of the Week.
