Countdown to Face-Off
February 26, 2005 - International Hockey League 2 (IHL 2)
Kalamazoo Wings News Release
The K-Wings will finish off the month of February with just their fourth road game of the month with a trip to Fort Wayne to battle the Komets. Home ice hasn't meant that much in the season series between the teams. The K-Wings, who are 2-2-0 against the Komets, have won both their meetings against the Komets at Memorial Coliseum.
After going winless in their last two games, the K-Wings will be looking to avoid tying their longest winless streak of the season. Kalamazoo comes into tonight's game just two points behind the Muskegon Fury for first place in the Central Division.
Fort Wayne enters tonight looking to improve their status in the UHL. The Komets, who are tied with the Rockford IceHogs for the top spot in the Western Division, are just two points behind the Adirondack Frostbite for first place overall in the United Hockey League.
