Countdown to Face-Off

For the final time this season, the K-Wings will play a regular season road game, as well as concluded their four game road swing when they head into The Mark of the Quad Cities to play the Quad City Mallards. The K-Wings, who started the road swings at The Mark, will attempt to avenge their lone loss of the road trip a 5-3 loss on Wednesday. With their victory last night, the K-Wings have guaranteed themselves a winning road record.

Kalamazoo will attempt to continue their push for a higher playoff seed today against a possible playoff opponent. The K-Wings start the day nine points behind Quad City for second place and six points behind Muskegon for third. Kalamazoo has one game in hand over the Mallards and two games in hand over the Fury.

The Mallards winning streak as reached an incredible seven games. Quad City, who enters the game with 100 points, is just two points behind the Fort Wayne Komets for first place; however, the Mallards are just three points in front of Muskegon for second place.

Nearing a Milestone

With his first shift of the game forward Andrew Luciuk will reach a personal milestone. When Luciuk steps on the ice, it will mark his 400th career game as a professional.

Most Prolific Offense in K-Wings History With 258 goals, the K-Wings have set a new franchise UHL record for most goals in a season. The K-Wings broke the previous record of 254 goals scored in a season was set during the 1999-00 season, when they were the Madison Kodiaks.

Final Game on the Road

Today will mark the final regular season road game for the K-Wings. After today, Kalamazoo will conclude the regular season with four straight games at Wings Stadium.

On a Roll

Besides being the reining player of the week, Guy Dupuis will enter the game on a eleven game scoring streak. The scoring streak is the longest current point streak both on the K-Wings roster and in the UHL and just one game shy of tying the K-Wings season high set by Andrew Luciuk. Dupuis also is on an nine game assist streak, which is also a K-Wings season high.
