PRINCE GEORGE, BC- The Prince George Cougars opened their 2021 Pre-Season with a 5-3 loss against the Kamloops Blazers at the Sandman Centre Friday.

Koehn Ziemmer, Hudson Thornton and Caden Brown scored for the Cougars. Thornton's goal came on the power-play. Ty Young started in net and turned aside 22 of 23 shots in 30-minutes of work. Tyler Brennan surrendered four goals on 22 shots.

Nic McCarry, Mats Lindgren (PPG), Logan Bairos (PPG) and Dylan Sydor scored for Kamloops.

The Blazers broke a 2-2 tie early in the third with goals from Bairos and Sydor coming 18-seconds apart.
