
Cougars Roster Sits At 25 Players

Prince George, BC - The Prince George Cougars roster is trimmed down to 25 players following the Everett Silvertips Pre-Season Tournament, which saw the Cougars go 1-1-0-1, with a 2-1 victory Sunday over the Tri-City Americans.
Eight players, six forwards and two defencemen, were reassigned by the Cougars. The forwards include 18-year old Justin Bertow, 17-year old Bobby Asham, 16-year olds Caleb Belter, Wilson Dumais and John Odgers and 15-year old Troy Bourke. The Cougars also sent 15-year old defencemen Josh Smith and Dane Phaneuf back to their respective midget clubs.
The Cougars currently have 14 forwards, nine defencemen and two goalies on the roster. The Cougars finish the exhibition schedule with a home-and-home series with the Kamloops Blazers, starting Friday night in Kamloops. The Cougars will host the Blazers Saturday night at CN Centre, starting with puck drop at 7:00pm. The regular season begins September 18 when the Spokane Chiefs visit the Cougars at CN Centre.
