Chris Cortez, a 26-year-old Mission Viejo native, returns for his third season with the team. The forward attended University of California Berkeley and made his professional debut in 2011 with Chivas USA. He made nine appearances for the "Rojiblancos." In his first season for the Blues in 2013, Cortez notched nine goals in 23 matches. For the 2014 USL season, he recorded five goals in 19 matches.
