Corredor's Two-Run Single Enough for Senators

Aldrem Corredor drove in two with a two-out single in the bottom of the eighth inning leading the Senators to a 2-1 win over Richmond Sunday afternoon. Cole Freeman and Osvaldo Duarte both hit two-out singles in the eighth before Corredor drove them in. Harrisburg won their third straight against Richmond to gain a series split.

On Capitol Hill

Mario Sanchez, Bryan Dobzanski, Alberto Baldonado and Gabe Klobosits combined to limit Richmond to one run on five hits. Sanchez tossed six shutout innings scattering four hits while striking out five. Klobosits retired the side in order in the ninth, striking out two. The staff combined to keep Richmond 0-for-5 with runners in scoring position.

With the Gavel

Freeman and Duarte both had two hits, including the consecutive hits in the eighth inning preceding the eventual game winning hit by Corredor. Freeman and Duarte both had doubles in the game as well.

Filibusters

After dropping six straight and being no-hit, the Senators have responded with three straight wins. The Sens turned their tenth double-play of the season.

On Deck

The Senators play game one of a six-game series against Altoona Curve Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m. The game can be heard on CBS Sports Radio Harrisburg 96.5FM 95.3FM and 1400AM beginning at 6:15 p.m.
