Defenseman expected to debut tomorrow

BILOXI, Miss. - The Quebec Citadelles of the American Hockey League announced they have assigned rookie defenseman David Cornacchia (Cor-NACK-ee-ah) to the Mississippi Sea Wolves.

Cornacchia, 21, played 15 games for the Citadelles this season registering four assists and six penalty minutes. The 5-11 and 200-pound native of Toronto, Ontario also suited up in 38 games with the New Mexico Scorpions of the Central Hockey League. Cornacchia collected six goals and 12 assists for 18 points to go along with 62 penalty minutes. Cornacchia is expected to make his Mississippi debut tomorrow.

The Sea Wolves faceoff against the New Orleans Brass tonight at 7:35 p.m. at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum. Tomorrow, Mississippi hosts the Arkansas RiverBlades at 7:35 p.m. at the Wolves Den.
