Conquest hire Kevin King as directory of football operations

Albany, N.Y. May 20, 2004 – The Albany Conquest have hired Kevin King as Director of Football Operations for the remainder of the 2004 arenafootball2 season.

"Kevin has an extensive sports background having been on the coaching staff for the RPI baseball and football teams for the past two years," said Albany Conquest General Manager Robert Zeig. "He is someone with a passion for sports that will be a great addition to our staff," Zeig added.

Kevin King joins the team having been Assistant Football Coach and Head JV Baseball Coach at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in Troy, N.Y. since January 2002. He received his BS in Management and Technology from RPI in 2001, where he was a member of the league champion baseball team at RPI. Kevin King is the son of Joe King, head coach of the RPI football team since 1989.

King's duties include coordinating of travel arrangements and meals for the team, day-of-game duties pertaining to football operations, liaison for visiting team and officials, and assisting the Conquest coaching staff with player transactions as well as other duties.
