Prince George Cougars News Release
Prince George, BC - Prince George Cougars forward Brett Connolly is the top player ranked among Western Hockey League skaters on NHL Central Scouting's fall preliminary rankings. The rankings were released Tuesday listing the top Canadian Hockey League players who are eligible for the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
Connolly ranks first on the 25-player list of the WHL's top draft-eligible skaters. Connolly, a Prince George product who won the CHL's Rookie of the Year honors last season, has four goals and six points in seven games this season for the Cougars. Last year, the 6'2", 181 pound forward had 30 goals and 60 points to lead the Cougars in scoring and was named team MVP, the first time a Cougars rookie had won that award.
