NHL Central Scouting has released its fall preliminary rankings of CHL players, and J.T. Barnett of the Vancouver Giants has been ranked 19th among draft eligible players in the Western Hockey League.
Barnett is having a break out year, and currently leads the Giants in goals and is tied for second in team scoring. The 6 foot 190 pound Barnett has scored 13 goals and has 9 assists for 22 points.
Barnett is in his second season with the Giants, he scored one goal and had five points in 38 games last season and was -2. This year the Scottsdale Arizona native is plus 5, and has been one of the Giants most consistent offensive performers. Barnett has gone without a point in two consecutive games only one time this season.
