Connecticut won its second straight to improve to 10-5 overall, and 7-1 at the Mohegan Sun arena.

Jasmine Thomas played in her 200th career game with the Connecticut Sun finishing with 18 points. She scored in double figures for the fourth straight game.

Chicago's bench outscored its starters 7-6 in the first quarter with Ruthy Hebard leading the way with five first quarter points. The Sky bench accounted for 16 of the team's 30 first half points. The Sun bench did not score in the first half.

The Sky ended the half on a 11-0 run and then scored the first two points of the second half to complete a 13-0 run cutting a 36-19 deficit to 36-32. The Sun would respond with 10 straight, all by Brionna Jones and Bonner, for a 46-32 lead.

Chicago tied the lowest points in the first half by an opponent with 30, which happened two other times this season.

Brionna Jones scored over 20 points for the third straight game as she finished with 21 points and nine rebounds. She had 10 points and six rebounds in the first quarter this afternoon. Jones has 69 points in her last three games.

Dewanna Bonner scored 20 or more points for the fifth time this season as she had 23 points in the win. She scored her 5,500 career point in the third quarter as she had 11 points in the quarter.

Bonner (11), Thomas (9) and Brionna Jones (6) accounted for all 26 Connecticut points in the third quarter as the Sun outscored Chicago 26-14 to build a 62-44 lead after three quarters. The trio had 62 of the Sun's 74 points.

Briann January passed Vickie Johnson on the WNBA all-time assists list, putting her at 1,206 for her career.

Beatrice Mompremier came off the bench to finish with a new game and season high, 11 rebounds.

10 of Connecticut's 12 fourth quarter points came from the bench.

The Sky had 18 turnovers, the most by any Connecticut opponent this season. The Sun scored 20 points off turnovers.

Kahleah Copper and Allie Quigley led the Sky with 11 points, respectively. Courtney Vandersloot dished out a game-high seven assists while Diamond DeShields and Stefanie Dolson each chipped in six rebounds.

Chicago's 58 points was its lowest output of the season and a season low for any Connecticut opponent. The Sky shot 33.3% (23-69), the lowest by any Connecticut opponent this season.
