CONDORS COUNTDOWN WITH MATT O'DETTE
TONIGHT The Bakersfield Condors play the middle game of a three games in three nights weekend, meeting the rival Stockton Thunder for the first time this season. This concludes a five-game home stand for Bakersfield, who will head out on a six-game road trip beginning tomorrow afternoon in Stockton. Tonight is the first of three straight games against the Thunder. For the Condors, tonight is game number seven and home game number five.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT
Bakersfield snatched their second consecutive shootout win last night, 2-1, over the visiting Las Vegas Wranglers. The Condors led 1-0 after two periods thanks to RW Tyler Brenner's first goal as a Condor, but saw the Wranglers equalize on the power play in the third period. However, 43 stops from G Scott Greenham in regulation and overtime, coupled with another perfect 5-for-5 shootout save performance, gave the Condors back-to-back victories for the first time this season.
Stockton had Friday night off and comes to Condorstown fresh off a win last Saturday in Las Vegas, 5-4. D Cameron Brodie scored the game-winner with just 16 seconds remaining in the third period and G Cody Reichard earned his first professional win with 26 saves.
