Road Warriors Hang on to Win 3-2 in Florida

Estero, FL : The Road Warriors began their road trip against the Florida Everblades with a 3-2 victory on Saturday night.

Francis Verreault started the scoring off putting his second of the year in behind Florida goalie, John Muse. The first period continued to go the Road Warriors way as Shayne Wiebe collected his third of the year and second point of the night. Wiebe continues his point streak during all four games played with the Road Warriors. The Florida Everblades came back with a big second period. They scored two goals coming from Corey Trivino and Justin Shugg. Shugg scored his team leading fifth goal on the powerplay past goaltender Scott Stajcer. The third period began with a goal from Sean Berkstresser that would prove to be the game winner. Florida cameback the night before but was not able to reach that feat against the Road Warriors on Saturday night. Stajcer got the win stopping 29 shots in the 3-2 victory for the Road Warriors. Muse took the loss saving 31 shots.

The Road Warriors travel to Orlando tomorrow night for a 3 p.m. at the Amway Center. The game can be viewed live on America One or by clicking the Listen Live link on the Road Warriors website.
