Ryan Foster Expected To Play Tonight

BAKERSFIELD, Calif - The Bakersfield Condors of the West Coast Hockey League today announced the signing of right wing Ryan Foster, and expect him to be in the lineup tonight in Long Beach.

Foster, 27, was playing with Zell am See in the Austrian League, where he won his second consecutive goal scoring title. Last season he authored a 52-goal, 87-point season, while playing in just 39 games. Entering this season, he had totals of 95g-71a-166pts in just 70 games with Zell am See. Foster added 38 goals and 65 points this season as well.

Prior to turning pro, he was a teammate of current Condors Paul Rosebush and David Milek at the University of Guelph, where he played two seasons and won the University Cup. Between Guelph and Austria, Foster played one season with the Canadian National Team in 1998-99, posting 23 points in 31 games. A 6-1, 200 developmental player, he is making his North American professional debut with the Condors.

The Condors play in Long Beach tonight. Face-off is set for 7:30pm. All Condors games, can be heard live on KGEO AM 1230, with "Condors Countdown" starting 15 minutes prior to face off.

The Condors return home on March 16th and 17th. Saturday, March 16th, KUZZ 107.9 & Burlington Homes present Jersey Off Our Back Night. Commemorative St. Patrick's Day game-worn jerseys will be auctioned off after the game, with proceeds donated to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. In addition to the auction, fans will have a chance to win one of five of the limited edition jerseys being given away. Sunday is Pepsi Discount Night, as fans can receive $2.00 off admission by presenting Pepsi neckringer coupon found at Rite Aid and at participating stores.

Sunday, March 17th, is KUZZ 107.9 & General Mills / US Cold Storage St. Patrick's Puck Giveaway. The first 3000 fans will receive a special holiday puck. The game is also a Department of Conservation Recycling Day, with one free terrace ticket for bringing in two recyclable containers.
