Bakersfield Condors News Release

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors announced that the number of season tickets sold for the Condors 2005-06 season has already passed the entire total from 2004-05. To date, the Condors have sold over 2,200 seats for the upcoming season, and there is still a month before opening night. There is still the challenge of passing the franchise's all-time mark of 2,600 set in 2000-01.

"Setting the franchise mark is our newest goal and we think we can get there," said President Matthew Riley. "This means our entire sales staff has done an exceptional job during the off-season. It also means that fans are excited about this season. There's a great deal of optimism surrounding Condors hockey, and after the playoff run last year the Bakersfield community is hungrier than ever to get back to the rink."

"The enthusiasm for the team is as strong as I've seen here," said Condors Head Coach Marty Raymond. "The players feed off of the crowd and the more people we can get into the building, the more pumped up we'll be."

The 2005-06 season opens in 29 days at home on October 22nd against the Victoria Salmon Kings.
