Long Beach, Calif. - Lars-Peder Nagel and Vlad Serov both scored twice as the Bakersfield Condors defeated the Long Beach Ice Dogs 7-3 at the Long Beach Arena on Sunday evening.

A pair of strange goals started the scoring, with Michael Lambert scoring for Long Beach from the left corner on a sharp angle shot just 1:34 in, and Vlad Serov equaling just 10 seconds later. Serov's goal was headed wide when it was redirected by an Ice Dogs defenseman into the net. Just 1:17 after surrendering the go-ahead goal by Joe Cardarelli, Lars-Peder Nagel tied it up at 2-2, cutting across the crease and slipping a backhander home to snap a six- game scoring slump.

The Condors appeared to take the lead early in the second but their would-be power play goal was waved off with the ruling of it being batted in with a Bakersfield hand. But the lead would not evade the Condors in the period. Dylan Mills and Serov scored just 1:16 apart to take a 4-2 lead and chase starter Sebastien Centomo.

Bakersfield blew it wide open in the third. Nagel, Ashlee Langdone and Kevin St. Jacques added to their goal totals and put this one out of reach. Bakersfield finished the season series with Long Beach 5-4-1, including 3-1 in Long Beach. The win moved them back into a two-way tie for second place in the West Division.

With just three home games remaining in the regular season, the Condors return home on Friday, April 1st to host the Fresno Falcons. The first 2,000 kids 12 and under will get a Condors Mr. Potato Head, sponsored by 98.5 The Fox and Barber Honda.

Individual tickets can be purchased at the Rabobank Arena box office, which opens at 10:00am Monday through Saturday, by calling Ticketmaster at 322-2525, online at ticketmaster.com or stopping by any Ticketmaster location. Season and group tickets may be purchased by calling 324-PUCK (7825) or by visiting the Condors office next to Centennial Garden.
