Condors All-Star, Griffith, Expected in Lineup Tonight for Game 3

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Bakersfield Condors All-Star forward Todd Griffith has been activated from the 30-day IR and is expected to play tonight in Game 3 of the National Conference Semifinals against Alaska. It will be his first game since he suffered a broken left hand on March 13.

Defensive standout, David Kudelka, who missed Game 2 of the series, has been activated from the 3- day IR and defenseman Sheldon Wing has been placed on the 3-day IR.

Griffith played in 46 regular season games for the Condors this year, setting a Condors rookie record for goals with 26. The 5-foot, 11-inch, native of Welland, Ontario, was among the top ECHL rookies in scoring, was selected for and played in the ECHL All-Star Game and was voted to the ECHL All-Rookie Team.

For tonight's game, all fans will receive a pair of Condors Cheer Stix. Doors open at 6 p.m., puck drops at 7 p.m. On Saturday, the Condors will host Game 4 and first 2,000 fans will receive a Condors Travel Mug. Doors open at 7 p.m., puck drops at 8 p.m. (Puck drop may actually be a little later due to change over from 1 p.m. event in arena.) Both giveaways are courtesy of KGET- TV 17 and California Water Service Co.

Prior to Saturday's game, the Condors will host a special Party On The Plaza featuring a live broadcast on Centennial Plaza in front of Rabobank Arena from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. The festivities will include a live remote broadcast on KGEO AM 1230, starting at 7 p.m. (at the conclusion of the Angels baseball game) with the voice of the Condors, Jake Stevens, along with appearances from Condors players Scott Balan and Andrew Oke, who will also be available to chat with fans. A projection screen TV will also be on site, showing Bakersfield's win over Fresno in Game 6 of the first round. There will also be bounce houses and inflatables from Kiddie Amusements along with a performance from the band Dirty Spanglish, who will play their hockey songs "Zebras" and "The Big No" on the plaza stage.

There will be plenty of food and drinks available for purchase as well, including tri-tip sandwiches, BBQ Chicken, Hot Dogs and Sausages, kettle Chips, soda, water and beer.
