Kansas City Comets News Release

The Comets finished the week with a 3-2 win against the Monterrey Fury, and they look to build on their three-game win streak with two home wins this weekend. The wins would put Kansas City above .500 at home for the season.

The Comets face the St. Louis Steamers at 7:35 p.m. on Friday, February 20 at Kemper Arena. Kansas City and St. Louis are 2-2 this season. Kansas City is 1-1 against St. Louis at Kemper Arena with (7-4 loss at the October 11 season opener and 10-9 win on December 26). The Comets also won the teams' last meeting in January by a score of 4-3.

In the four games against St. Louis, Miodrag Djerisilo leads the Comets in points. He has recorded three goals and five assists for eight points. Anthony Maher scored both of the game-winning goals. The Comets need a win to gain more ground in the Central Division. They currently lead St. Louis by two games but trail Milwaukee by eight games.
