Comets Fan Appreciation Weekend Plans Announced

The Utica Comets will give away bobbleheads, authentic game-worn jerseys and team photos as part of Fan Appreciation Weekend at the Utica Memorial Auditorium this weekend as a "thank you" to their fans for all the support they have given the team this season.

On Friday, April 10, the first 1,000 fans in attendance on Friday will be given a Joacim Eriksson bobblehead courtesy of New York State Tool. Fans interested in receiving a bobblehead must enter through the Labatt Blue Ticket Entrance where they will be given a voucher that can be redeemed outside section 202 or 215 for a bobblehead.

New York State Tool President Matthew Wilsey, who has collected a several authentic game-worn Comets jerseys over the past two seasons, will be donating jerseys back to the fans to help raise money for charity. In addition to the monetary prize, every fan that purchases a ticket for the 50/50 raffle on Friday will be entered to win one of the jerseys. The jersey-winner will be re-entered back into the 50/50 drawing.

The 50/50 raffle, which has hit $8,000 or more 10 times this season, will start with $1,000 already contributed to at both games.

Prior to the start of Friday's game, the Comets will present the 2014-15 team awards which include the Eric Weinrich Award (best defenseman) and the Tom McVie Award (coach's most valuable player).

On Sunday, April 12, every fan in attendance will be given a 2014-15 team photo from Labatt Blue. The Comets will also be giving away great prizes during the game throughout The AUD.

Calder Cup Playoff tickets will go on sale on Saturday, April 11 at the Utica Memorial Auditorium box office at 10 a.m. They will be available online starting at 12 p.m. For more information visit www.uticacomets.com.
