Indianapolis Indians News Release

MOOSIC - Pa. -- The Indianapolis Indians scored twice over the final two innings and moved both the tying and go-ahead runs into scoring position with one out in the ninth, but the comeback stalled in a 5-4 loss to the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders on Friday night at PNC Field.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (14-15) rallied off the Tribe's bullpen with three runs in the deciding seventh inning.

Kyle Roller singled home a run off Bobby LaFromboise, Tyler Austin hit an RBI double on Brad Lincoln's first pitch of the game and Austin Romine plated the eventual game-winner with his sacrifice fly to center field.

Jose Tabata capped a stretch of three straight singles to score Alen Hanson in the eighth for the second of Hanson's two runs.

Mel Rojas Jr. singled in the ninth as the potential go-ahead runner before being stranded by back-to-back outs from RailRiders closer Jose Ramirez.
