Columbus Recalls Defenseman Grant Clitsome

Syracuse, NY (March 1, 2010) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled defenseman Grant Clitsome.

Clitsome, 24, has appeared in 55 games with the Crunch this season, tallying four goals, 14 assists and 40 penalty minutes. He skated in 73 games as a rookie with the Crunch last season, recording four goals, 15 assists and 74 penalty minutes.

A native of Gloucester, Ontario, Clitsome spent four years at Clarkson University from 2004-08, skating in 150 games, registering 16 goals, 57 assists and 122 penalty minutes. He was selected by Columbus in the ninth round, 271st overall, in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
