Columbus Acquires Center Greg Moore In Exchange For Defenseman Dylan Reese

Syracuse, NY (March 1, 2010) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have acquired center Greg Moore from the New York Islanders in exchange for defenseman Dylan Reese and assigned him to the Crunch. The trade is pending the completion of player physicals.

Moore, 25, has appeared in 62 games with New York's AHL affiliate, the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, this season, tallying 14 goals, 17 assists and 28 penalty minutes. In all, Moore has appeared in 286 combined AHL games with Bridgeport and Hartford, accumulating 72 goals, 91 assists and 163 penalty minutes. In addition, Moore skated in six NHL games with the New York Rangers during the 2007-08 season.

A native of Lisbon, Maine, Moore spent four seasons at the University of Maine from 2002-06, appearing in 154 games, notching 66 goals, 41 assists and 117 penalty minutes. He was originally selected by Calgary in the fifth round, 143rd overall, in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
