Columbus Recalls David Ling -- Syracuse Recalls Defenseman Nate Kiser From Dayton

Syracuse, NY (February 14, 2004) – The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled right wing David Ling. The team also announced that they have recalled defenseman Nate Kiser from Dayton (ECHL).

Ling, 29, appeared in eight games with the Crunch this season, recording 5 goals, 8 assists and 10 penalty minutes. In 35 games with Columbus this season, recording 1 assist and 51 penalty minutes. In 320 career AHL games with Saint John, Fredericton and Syracuse, Ling has tallied 102 goals, 194 assists and 954 penalty minutes. A native of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Ling was signed by Columbus as a free agent on July 7, 2001.

Kiser, 21, has appeared in 45 games with Dayton this season, recording 4 goals, 7 assists and 107 penalty minutes. A native of Southgate, Michigan, Kiser began the season on the Crunch's opening night roster before being loaned to Dayton on October 9.

Syracuse hosts Rochester on Saturday, February 14 for Quickway Trading Card Night.
