Columbus Blue Jackets Reassign Goaltender Joonas Korpisalo to Springfield Falcons

Springfield, Mass. - The Columbus Blue Jackets have reassigned goaltender Joonas Korpisalo to the Springfield Falcons, Blue Jackets General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.

Korpisalo, 20, has appeared in 38 contests with Ilves Tampere of the SM-liiga this season, accumulating a 14-13-7 record along with a 2.34 goals-against average and .919 save percentage. The 6-foot-2, 176-pound netminder has appeared in a career total of 45 SM-liiga games, recording a 14-14-7 record.

The Pori, Finland native was selected in the third round, 62nd overall, by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
