Columbus Blue Jackets Reassign Center Sean Collins to Springfield

Springfield, Mass. - The Columbus Blue Jackets have reassigned center Sean Collins to the Springfield Falcons, Blue Jackets General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.

Collins, 25, was recalled by the Blue Jackets on Oct. 30 and was held without a point in two games with the club. He has appeared in eight games with the Falcons this season, collecting six points (1g, 2a) and two penalty minutes with an even plus/minus rating. The 6-foot-3, 201-pound forward has registered one point (1a), six penalty minutes and is -2 in 13 career NHL games. He has also notched 83 points (29g, 54a), 60 penalty minutes and is +27 in 147 career American Hockey League games, including 41 points (16g, 25a), 34 penalty minutes and was +9 in 67 games with Springfield last season.

Collins was selected in the seventh round, 187th overall, by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
