HAMILTON, ONT. - Hamilton Bulldogs forwards Daniel Carr and Gabriel Dumont each notched three points to lead the 'Dogs (4-4-2-0) to a 6-1 victory over the Rochester Americans (6-4-0-0) in front of 12,972 fans during Hamilton's annual School Day Game at FirstOntario Centre on Tuesday.

Carr opened the scoring at 13:27 of the first period when he drove to the net hard and redirected a loose puck past Americans goaltender Andrey Makarov. Carr's second tally of the season was assisted by Dumont and forward Sven Andrighetto.

The 'Dogs took a 2-0 lead at 18:13 of the opening frame when defenceman Mac Bennett beat Makarov with a point shot. Forward Charles Hudon drew the only assist.

Carr potted his second goal of the game and third of the season with a wrister high blocker side on Makarov to give Hamilton a 3-0 lead at 11:21 of the second period. Dumont had the only assist.

Just 1:07 later, forward Drayson Bowman notched a power play goal, his second of the season, to put the Bulldogs ahead 4-0. Forwards Christian Thomas and T.J. Hensick drew assists.

Dumont padded the 'Dogs lead to 5-0 and chased Makarov from the game at 14:34 of the second period. Dumont's fourth goal of the year was assisted by forward Maxime Macenauer and defenceman Davis Drewiske.

From there, Amerks goaltender Nathan Lieuwen replaced Makarov, but Andrighetto made it a 6-0 game with his fifth goal of 2014-15 just 22 seconds into Lieuwen's relief. Carr and Hensick assisted on the play.

Americans forward Tim Schaller broke Hamilton goaltender Joey MacDonald's shutout bid on the power play 2:48 into the third period, assisted by forwards Joel Armia and Mikhail Grigorenko.
