Abilene, Texas --- The Colts scored early and often to run away with a 10-3 victory over the Abilene Prairie Dogs Monday night at Walt Driggers Field in Abilene.

San Angelo got great offensive performances from several players, including centerfielder Cory Patton, first baseman Daryl Jones and third baseman Landon Camp. Patton led the way, going 4-for-6 with four runs scored. Jones recorded four RBIs with a pair of two-run extra-base hits.

Meanwhile, Camp went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer and three RBIs. It was Camp's team-best 11th home run of the season. Catcher Michael Pair also hit his first career home run to lead off the second inning.

The Colts' offense knocked Abilene starter Sean White out after just three innings. White (0-1) gave up six runs on eight hits for his first loss.

On the flip side, Colts' starter Mark Willinsky (7-4) dominated the Prairie Dogs' hitters. He recorded a season-high eight strikeouts in as many innings of work to pick up the win. During one stretch, Willinsky retired eight in a row and 12 of 13 Abilene batters.

Abilene mustered one run in the third against Willinsky, and then two more in the seventh.

The win improves San Angelo to 36-34, while the loss drops Abilene to 28-41. This series continues Tuesday night at Foster Field.

It will be a $2 Tuesday, sponsored by Budweiser. General admission tickets and many food and drink items are only $2, courtesy of Budweiser.

The Colts are a member of United League Baseball who are in their 13th season. Tickets are on sale now, and available at the Colts' front office at Foster Field.
