San Angelo Colts News Release
San Angelo, Texas --- The Colts announced Tuesday they have placed pitcher Chris Weast on the Inactive List.
Weast returned home to Arkansas early Tuesday due to personal matters. The 28-year-old righty is 1-2 with a 4.82 earned-run average and two saves in 22 relief outings this season. He has also struck out 19 batters and walked nine.
Weast began his pro career with the Colts in 2008, when he went 3-0 with a 3.59 earned-run average in 15 games and five starts. He spent 2009 with the Sioux Falls Canaries of the independent American Association, and then had Tommy John surgery.
The surgery kept Weast out of pro ball for two years. This season marked his return to professional baseball. Weast has a career 5-3 record with a 5.16 earned-run average and four saves in 47 games and seven starts.
San Angelo's four-game series against the Abilene Prairie Dogs continues tonight at Foster Field. It is a $2 Tuesday, sponsored by Budweiser. General admission tickets and many food and drink items are only $2, courtesy of Budweiser. Gates open at 6:05 p.m., and first pitch is set for 7:05 p.m.
The Colts are a member of United League Baseball who are in their 13th season. Tickets are on sale now, and available at the Colts' front office at Foster Field.
