The Colts announced Thursday they have acquired outfielder Jason Martin and infielder Eddie Browne from the Abilene Prairie Dogs in exchange for future considerations, signed infielder Steve Rinaudo, placed fellow infielder Jason Diaz on the Inactive List and released pitcher Chad Nading.

Martin, 24, is a rookie who hit .337 with six home runs and 40 RBIs in 82 games for Abilene. He began the season with the White Sands Pupfish of the semi-pro Pecos League. Martin now joins a formidable outfield that includes Captain Ronnie Gaines, Jamar Walton, Cory Patton and J.J. Sherrill.

Browne, 27, began his professional career with the Colts last season. In five games, Browne went 2-for-15 (.133) with four runs scored for San Angelo. This year he batted .255 with 23 RBIs in 63 games with the Prairie Dogs. Browne has a .246 career average with 23 RBIs in 68 games between San Angelo and Abilene.

Rinaudo, 25, will spend the rest of this season on the Inactive List, and then go on the Colts' 2013 active roster. He began his career with the Colts in 2010, but began this season in the Pecos League. As a member of the Las Cruces Vaqueros, Rinaudo hit .391 with 18 home runs, 86 RBIs and 23 stolen bases in 67 games.

In addition to acquiring Martin, Browne and Rinaudo, the Colts have also made Diaz inactive and released Nading.
